We recently adopted 2 juvenile Tom turkeys. They are great bug control, help deter the local rattlesnake population & provide entertainment with their quirky personalities. Big W has been honing his turkey calling skills with their help. This week, Big W, hosted a video recorded turkey “hunt” with the help of his dad. They packed up all their hunting gear, brought along a camera & snuck to their “tree stand” that resembles a John Deere loader tractor. With some precision turkey calling, a bit of patience & careful planning, they in fact called in 2 barnyard Tom turkeys. The hunt was a success with the help of a toy wooden shotgun. Nate was able to catch the whole unique experience on film. They happily sent the video to several friends & now have some guided hunts booked in the near future. Big W grew taller with each response from his own personal fan club.
